The history of Frame Holland begins in 1936 with the vision of Willem Pieter Meulenberg, who founded the company under the name ENFA, becoming the First Dutch Manufacturer of horn, tortoise shell, and gold-filled spectacle frames. From its humble beginnings in an attic room in Wassenaar, where Meulenberg first experimented with comb production before pivoting to eyewear, Frame Holland has grown into a beacon of Dutch craftsmanship and design. The company moved to Katwijk in 1954 to accommodate the growing demand for its quality spectacles. In the early 1960s, Hans Borsboom took ownership and, along with his wife Conny, expanded the collections and the brand's international presence. Today, the legacy is carried on by their children, who continue to innovate while staying true to the brand's rich tradition. Preciosa VINTAGE EYEWEAR and Eyetem, designed and handmade in Holland, are the culmination of decades of expertise, representing the company's commitment to quality and individuality.
